a.m - I love morning runs, they make me so happy!

p.m - The best workout ever. I actually felt like I had to push it and that I was really working for it. Lately it's been hard to just dig in and work hard during workouts. I guess that's why I have been a little disappointed with myself. Last season it felt like it was so much harder and that I was honestly pushing it all the way. This season, so far,  not so much. My race times are good but not great. Ugh! This workout was a good one for me. I wish I could have/ would have held onto Rachel, Cassidy and Stephani. I didn't relax though when they pulled away I just kept going hard even though it wasn't fast enough to be with them. Hopefully I can have a lot more workouts this season like this one.

a.m - Very sore and stiff and big knots in my legs. I love running in the mornings though!

p.m - Today was one of those days that my whole mind and body did NOT want to run. It was just my whole body refusing it and it was miserable. Starting the run I didn't know if I would be able to finish it. Usually I know I'm going to finish today it just felt like I was going to . . . not? All the girls I ran with felt basically like that too. It's okay if it's just one because the rest will keep you going, when it's all the girls it makes for a tough long run. Basically this run was very crappy and hurt really bad.

Wow. One to many things to do today! I didn't think I would be able to make it to practice but I did. It was a close one. I'm glad I did too. Coach Costa(?) ran with me today. It was so nice and we just took it easy but not too easy. We didn't stop at all either, no water no nothing. After we did striders. My legs are still very tight but WAY better then yesterday.

.5 warm up/ core workout/ 2 mile warm up/ 6x800/ 1.5 mile cool down/ STRETCH

Today we had 6x800's which turned out great for me. The JV girls would run to the gate and then we would start. Having them ahead of me really helped me get into really going after the next girl and the next. It really helped us all as we were talking about it after. My times were really fast. I thought maybe I should slow down but then I laughed out loud, I can go at that pace! My times were 15-20 seconds faster then they have been. On the second to last and last one I really just dug down and pushed. One of the better workouts for me this season.

Hip is just a hint sore!

a.m - I wish this would have been a great morning for me. . . .Everybody was so happy! I tried to be but my hip hurt consistently the whole run. No fun!

p.m - AT Dog pound. Not a bad but not a good run for me today. I'm not where I felt like I was last year with this workout. Last year everybody seemed faster and it pushed me. Now I feel like I don't know where I am supposed to be. It's hard and when nobody is around it's really easy to just bow down a little. This was a very painful run though. My hip hurt so bad! Down hills were big no no's.

Went to Dr. Boyer again today. He was doing this massage thing and hit a spot on my other hip that about made me fly off the table. Oh so painful! Along with my hip socket being loose my IT band is all nasty and really hurting. I didn't really realize it till he had me do somethings that really hurt! Upon all the money we are spending with Co-pays and all the wonderful Doctor visits all over creation I would say I am an expensive child. The doctor recommended a big solid stiff noodle that I run my leg over with. OWCH. I will do it though. We also had to compromise - No morning run tomorrow but I can bike and I can run in the evening depending. . . . Upsetting!

a.m - Morning runs on the day of races always make me a bit nervous.

p.m - Coach Holt gave us such a great pep talk the other day and well today I didn't really apply it. I could not focus worth beans. Maybe I was trying to hard because I usually can. My hips were a little sore but not bad at all!

Today was really big eye opener! I really need to step it up, that is the only option.

5 miles at the crack of dawn with all the girls. It was so nice outside that I really just wanted to run fast but . . .we had to stick as a team. The run was great and everything felt so good. I bet it shouldn't feel like that after a race though.

Easy 5 miles today. And boy is 5 miles easy compared to 8. By the time we were done I was thinking that couldn't be it. I ran with Chandis today and we had a pretty solid pace but it was an easy one!

Today was just a fun race against Desert Hills but it was a great race for me. I was able to focus and just push. It wasn't over the top but it 'twas awesome!

2 mile warm up/ 6x800's / 1.5 mile cool down

Owch! I didn't think we would do a speed workout after the race! On addition to the race we took our morning run fairly fast this morning. After the 2 mile warm up though things were great! Another really good set of repeats for me. They were all really strong and really consistent. Coach Roberts ran the last one with us and that was a fast one. Cassidy it was good at those 800 things and I couldn't even hold onto her but it really pushed me!

What an insane race! It was a fast course but 100 meters from the start they had a thing to funnel us through and then a hard left. I could barely move anywhere. Anytime I tried to get through the gaps would close and I would get stuck again. Somehow Steph had a gap open for her and she was able to get through and I couldn't go get her after that. Two corners of the race were way bad and you just had to slow down. It was a great race though once we all started to spread out a bit. I was able to hold onto Rachel for most the race the end was very hard for me. After     Ms. Pete came and told me somethings to do to improve. I love it when people give me advise! This also the first time I have been in the 21's. It's high 21's but it was my goal and it can only get better from here.

Pine View Stake has loads of runners. Like half the XC team is in the stake. I met up with Cassidy when we got there and we decided to take it hard but not race pace. It was lots of fun and actually fairly easy. We talked a little bit too.

* I will put some more miles in later.

2 mile warm up/ STADIUMS?! Weird. . . / 2 mile cool down

Warmed it up two miles today with Rachel. We actually had a nice solid pace going for the warm up. Coach announced after that we were running stadiums? It's the first time ever that I have ran stadums for cross country, but there is always a first time for everything. 8 Stadiums and then at the top of the other side we would go up jog to the flag pole and then go at a dead sprint for maybe 1 - 2 hundred meters. It was a tough workout. My legs were dead going into it already and going through it was not easy. It was really a great workout for me. There was a point behind it and hopefully it will help.

Finished with a slow, sore cool down DI loop. . . .

a.m - I love morning runs! =)

p.m - Ultra sore! I didn't know if I could pull out a whole AT but I did. I was going at a decent pace. Cassidy, at the end I guess pretended I was a Snow Canyon girl, that pushed me. That last half was the best half ever. She had passed me and I was chasing her trying not to let go. It was really a great workout. Three words though. . .I . . .Hate. . .Wind!

a.m - I wondered if anybody would want to come out today because of the howling wind. I know I wasn't to excited about it. Getting out of bed it felt like a train hit me! I did not feel good at all. Yuck. It was fun and it happened to be the last morning run =( I love morning runs! This stinks, I kind of would like to keep going with them.

p.m - Another really good 8 miler, this time with Micci. We really got rolling on this workout. Our pace was insane. I didn't know if I could hold it for a whole 8 miles. I really need to learn to trust that I can do things! We talked a bit but mostly I was just off thinking and it was nice. No stopping today either, with the exception of stop lights. I have been, the last couple of long runs,  trying not to stop for long periods of time and only stop at the water cooler. I have also tried to have a decent pace on these long runs. I have accomplished that so far! After the run 8xstriders which flew by too. I let Chandis go ahead of me and I just put my eyes on her and went after her. Best ever!
