The back of my knee and those two weird things on the back of it hurt really bad. It was bugging me during the last nights run too. Oh-well it usually last just a few days!

 Some of the girls that have just come out this summer asked me to run with them and help push them. I thought today was the perfect day! Me and Cassidy ran 3 with them, I didn't think some would come with us but they all did!!! It was such a hard push for some but they all did SO GOOD! I was impressed. It was great to run with them and see them try so hard, they were so positive! It was great to run with Cassidy and hear what she had to say about her running experience and tricks with running and running fast. I'm not a great runner but I remember when one of the girls helped me make that push to 3 and it mad all the difference. They were so proud of themselves after they finished and are wanting to run more! It was awesome!!!!

Traveled all day today!!! 500 miles! OWCH! We left to early for me to run this morning and when we got there we had to do 5 dogs from start to finish. Me and my cousin ecsaped for an hour and went and ran along the beach and down a pier for a break. We ran into their XC team. . . I think? It was a great group of kids out running. I loved it there, it was so easy to breath it was beautiful scenery and the temperature was 65 degress the whole time. The humidity wasn't bad I loved it actually, it was soft air!

Today we showed really, really early in the morning! So we had the rest of the day to go play and have fun! It was the best day ever. I was dead tired but we played in the ocean for so long and then we went and ran a long the beach again to warm up and dry off.

We showed way late in the afternoon at 3 p.m so we packed up and went to an arts fair thing on main street. The rest of the day was dogs then packing and traveling back home! I did not, do not, want to be back home!

XC practice this morning 5 middleton? Warmed up, core exercises and then off to do our run. I really didn't want to be home today. I already miss Ventura! 65 degrees everyday, the humidity (love it) and running on the beach and piers, were absolutly the best days I have had in awhile. Coming back home to a red desert was not my idea of . . . fun?! I miss the thrill of showing too. . . maybe after the season is over I will go on one or two. Anyway. . . . . We really tired to get our girls team to run together and we did for awhile. It was really lots of fun! We ended up spliting up somewhere down the road and thats okay. I stuck with Cassidy today and we talked alot exchanged secrets about running fast and what not.

a.m - I don't know the real mileage for today but it was somewhere around here. Warmed up core workout and then the real workout. 4x 60 sec. hills and 6x30 sec. hills. I thought it would be an absolute killer because last week I only ran 3 times once being at girls camp (hard to escape and leaders. . . well we couldn't run very far.) I was actually in really decent shape today, tomorrow on the other hand? Today during the 2 mile warm up we were batteling it out  and then we all settled down into a good pace. We all pushed each other on the timed hill repeats. I loved it we were all really close no big leaders just a big pack. Awesome!

My dad says I have the endurance I really just need to lift lots of weight and do lots of repeats (speed workout). I need to learn how to run fast and feel like I'm flying. Once I do/figure it out I will be in for a great season. =)

Heading up to Fish Lake on Tuesday/Wednesday and I can run up there! =)

p.m - 3 miles with Chandis! It was a great run it felt like time and miles just flew although we were moving at a fairly easy pace.

I don't know why girls have so many problems and just can't run together like the boys do? Today was hard because we pushed it too hard to MAKE everybody stick together. Also the girls from the back kept telling the top girls to slow down? It was really frusterating and hard by the end. It was hard to go slow, that slow. It was uncomfortable. I wonder if we should be slowing down or they should be catching up? If we are running at a comfortable pace up in front should we slow down? We really did bounce around quite a bit and ran in groups sometimes and seperated at others. I really don't know how to do this whole running together thing?

By the end I was tired of the "slow down, slow down, stick as a team" coming from the back. I figured they could push it a little harder to come join the group in front? Or maybe that two groups were okay? Is it fair to ask people to slow down?

It's honesly just frusterating and I don't know what we are supposed to do about it. Maybe we are trying to hard and just forcing it, maybe a little slack would do? I just know when we finished. Some girls were frustrated with me because I didn't slow the group I was in down? We were moving along great and it was good so I don't see why I should? Coudn't they have picked it up just a little we weren't moving fast at all!

UGG . . .frustrating glad I'm leaving for camp we will figure it out when I get back or hopefully why I'm gone!!!

Other than that it was great! My legs and sore and dead and kind of topped off from the evening run yesterday. Other than that no more comments from me!

Oh my goodness what an adventure. I left camp a little later because we are a fishing family and do the EARLY morning fishing. After our big lunch and a nice long nap I headed it out. It was beautiful and ran on the road and there were so really long up hill stretches and some flat and down hill. It was really fun. I ended up turning around at the lodge hoping to get back in time to go trolling (missed it though). On the way back I took a trail that I have been on several times befor. I got so scared I was going to run into a moose. In my fear I ran into a beaver looking thing. It sat on the rock and stared and me and I stopped and started at it. I slowly walked past to make sure it would jump out and me. As soon as I cleared it and started booking it and ran into a DEER! Oh my goodness I freaked. I thought it was a moose! I backed up and touched it and it didn't move! I then walked around that and kept running. A couple more minutes down on a trail and I was hurdeling bunnys. I stopped and saw how close I could get to some. They didn't seem to mind. After all the adventure I could stand on the trail I got back up on the main road. What a run! It was fabulous!!! The altitude didn't bug me much. I enjoyed!!

a..m The last time I ran was last Thursday so 3 days off and very sleep deprived, since I only got home last night, didn't make for a good workout. I tried though I did it but I can do much better then what I put up. My breathing was bad too! Oh boy! I could really kick myself. I've not been running very consistenly with being out of town. Not really had a chance to lift seeing as how I have been in the mountains. Overall growly about running and can't wait to get back into it this week.

Today was 4x60 seconds 6x30 seconds. Held on but not great, just frustrating. I'm not very good at these very very fast things either, it's good to do them and hopefully get better? After the 


p.m - I can't go running unless I'm with a group. I could not find anybody that wanted to do an evening run (some people were sick though). No evening run =( very frustrating. Maybe I will just start getting a family member out on a bike with me, when none of them are working. Tonight though my dad has been promising to take me and and help/teach me how to lift weights.  Tonight neither of us had to work so we went! =) He had me lifting legs today Quads, Hamstrings and calves. It was an interesting routine he had me doing. I did not think it would work but by the end I did not think I could make it though the last set! Needless to say the legs are completely dead!

=) We took a little longer then expected BUT it was the funnest run I have had in awhile. We split at the light some of us dared to run in front of cars and some decided to wait for safety. After that we went out own pace and it was so fun!  I didn't care that it took a long time I just hung back and enjoyed it! I could not of gone anywhere too fast either my legs are dead from weights. Boohoo! Me, Cassidy and Micci goofed off and took some detours. It's the first time I was able to just let go and have fun! =) Great, great run!

After 6 striders. . . .not so fun!

HILLS! I was so worried about hills today on the warm up. My legs are sore and still feeling heavy from weights. . . .None the less. . .Warmed up over to the hill 2 miles? (didn't wear my garmin today). We did 4x60 seconds and 6x30 seconds. The first two were sketchy and I had a really had a hard time getting my legs to move. The rest were decent although I really had to work for it. I wish my legs felt lighter and and quick. 2 mile cool down back. . .OWCH!

Lifted upper body weights with my dad today! I'm so not strong in the arms.

Just an easy 4 today with 6 striders at the end.

Club run 8 miles (7.81 actaully). Went on the hospital loop backwards. I was thinking a while ago if I ever ran it backwards, I would cry. I didn't cry though, I actually like it alot better going that direction! Overall a good run. Legs and feet ached from working all day and then working an extra shift when one of the girls hurt herself. The legs made it though.

Worst day in awhile. I slice diced my finger and hit the bone. I have oozing sores on my knees that kill. I also have had a head ache that has not gone away with any kind of medication. Overall not feeling top of the day.

I was a little worried about how today would play out with the rough end of last week. I'm actually way stoked with how I did!

2 mile warm up - 6x60 seconds and 8x30 seconds - cool down

I have never really been good at this kind of speed work. I always struggle. I can never get going quick enough or anything! I was pretty uptight on the warm up thinking about it. When we started the first one - wasn't great. After that I just took off! I pushed it so stinking hard and when nobody was around I pushed harder. I would try and pick it up hard again the last 10-15 seconds. I pushed it really hard when my legs started to hurt, just barreling though the pain! I'm so stoked it feels like I'm starting to get these workouts I LOVED IT! I feel so good about a workout. . .FINALLY! I have never been pleased about one but today was AWESOME, I still need to imrove though. I pushed through the pain and mental crap and it felt good, I did not back down.

.5 mile warm up - 5 mile run - 6 striders (=.75) (8/1)*6 ?

My legs were a bit sluggish today from repeats yesterday. I enjoy running this route though, the time seems to fly! The company was great today. The pace was even picked back up a touch which felt really good.

p.m - I'm not allowed to run alone once again! I called all the girls and nobody was up to going. I almost did not get my evening run in. I stressed it out to my mom that I would really like to get in all my miles this week. Being the great mom that she is, she drove next to me while I ran! THANKS MOM! I was so happy she took time to do that for me and understands how important it is to me!!

Shoot me dead! 6x60 second 8x30 second HILLS - Big and steep this time! Warm up/ Core

Jogged it over to the hill this morning and started! The 6x60 second once were taxing and hard. I had to remember to keep pushing and pushing and not let go or give up. I was hurting so bad when the 30 seconders finally came round. My legs were dead and I was tired. I didn't give in though and felt a bit competitive (that helped push me). On the last one Cassidy came up right by me and I didn't want to let go and I don't think she did either. It was awesome we were halling! It was great and I pushed it really hard. I didn't feel as fast as I did Monday but it was still a good workout. Cooled it back down to the school!

Showed up a bit late to practice today. Nobody had started on the warm up though. The group is getting smaller and smaller!

Cassidy said somthing about running home and so we ran with that idea. Me Megan and Cassidy ran home. Well. . . well we were running home and then we had this brilliant idea. Me and Cassidy can't go to club run tonight so we decided to get the 8 over with. We ran to Megs house dropped her off and then ran back to the school for a total of 8! It was a great run. We found a yo yo! a-mazing! I had lots of fun.

Leaving for family vacation tonight. Last party before my sister leaves for college!
