Just an easy breezy three miles with THE CROSS COUNTRY GIRLS. . .well some of them (Kaylee, Chandis, Liz, and myself) kind of a . . .not so big group! However, I am not complaining because I have been running by myself for so long now I think I've gone mentally insane. . .Like I carry on conversations with myself. . . not really BUT seriously! Loved the run, love them, and now I feel good!

I guess it's time for another one of my sporadic blog up dates. . . .

I LOVE RUNNING WITH FRIENDS!! I have been running really consistently for awhile now by myself. I started running again after I seriously injured myself at CrossFit and am taking a break to try and heal it up. . . but really I LOVE RUNNING MORE - I ESPECIALLY love running with friends!!!!! I've been running by myself for a long time and this week I finally ran with people. Today I got to run with my friend Amanda Lusk. I was a freshman and she was a senior in high school when I started running cross country and she was the whole reason I joined cross country and stuck it out. It's been awhile since we have run together and it was so fun to catch up! The run its self was really smooth no aches or pains other than that injury which will be better after 3 weeks of PT. Yup. Life is so good!

A.M - This morning I got up and was going to try and go into crossfit but my right hamstring and back are still very tender. After my last injury there is no sense in pushing things. I am not looking for a life time injury rather I'm looking for a life to of being healthy and strong. I just seem to keep bumping into injuries and it is getting rather frustrating. Bahumbug. Through the injuries however I have never had to quit running. This morning when I didn't think a lot of squats was a great idea I got ready for a run instead. My dad started on his way out to CrossFit but ended up turning around and deciding to come run with me. He is fabulous!

We ran four miles this morning. It was really easy. I tried to work on my breathing by taking bigger breaths but it ended up in a shoulder ache. After that I didn't work too hard on breathing. I just had fun talking and running with my dad. We finished by running up 2450. I love finishing on hills and giving the best at the last.

PM- This evening I ran 5 miles with Shiree.

I am so grateful I have friends and family to run with. My dad and brothers run with me now and I am always texts to go running with friends. This year has been a really hard transition as far as running goes. I went from running with crazy fun high school girls to running completely alone and finally things are looking up again. I have made some sweet new running buddies and life is just going well.
